A LITTLE ABOUT US
Lucas Ortega
I am one of the taxi drivers and co-manager of Stanley Cabs. I was born in Chile but moved to the Falklands when I was just two years old.
José, my father, owns the business and I help run it; although my passion is else where, I'm always here to support my family.
I also have a part time job in network marketing within the cruise industry too. I get to show people how they can travel more and save money. I took my very first cruise in April 2025 and it was brilliant!
I really enjoy fitness, hiking, travelling with my partner and going on adventures and on the weekends, I captain our local touch rugby club.
People would say I'm friendly and approachable, outgoing with friends and family.

José Ortega
My name is José and I am the owner of Stanley Cabs. I come from a town in Santiago, Chile but have lived in the islands for over 25+ years! I have raised my two wonderful children, Lucas and Isidora, in the process.
The taxi company is like another one of my children almost. I think I am a workaholic... I like to spend a lot of time taking care of my customers, making sure the cars are safe and clean for use and even sorting the administration side.
Many people my say I am a man of many talents: a bar tender, DJ, cook, barber, mechanic and an overall business man. In my spare time I work on the vehicles but I like spending time with my family, cooking, swimming and taking walks with my partner. I would love to see the business grow, I'm always thinking up new ideas and would love to pass it on to my son one day.
